The Centre for Environment Education (CEE) is inviting applications for the position of Account Assistant in its Finance & Project Accounts team at the Noida office. The role suits an accounts professional who wants to apply their skills to environmental education and sustainable development.
About the Role
The Account Assistant will support the financial management of CEE's projects. This includes maintaining project accounts, preparing financial reports, processing transactions, and monitoring financial delivery in line with donor agreements and organizational requirements. In practice, the person in this role helps make sure project money is recorded, reported, and spent correctly.
Key Responsibilities
The role covers the full cycle of day-to-day project accounting:
Transactions and closings: Daily posting of transactions and monthly closing of accounts.
Verification: Checking bills and vouchers, including vendor payments and staff travel claims.
Reconciliations: Bank, sub-ledger, advances, payables, and receivables reconciliations.
Audit support: Assisting with financial audits and reviews.
Accuracy: Ensuring the correct project codes are used when recording transactions.
Reporting: Preparing and submitting periodic financial reports as required by donors and CEE.
Payments: Processing payments with proper documentation and approvals, managing vendor payments, and maintaining financial records.
Policy compliance: Supporting accounting operations in line with organizational financial policies.
Other duties: Administrative and other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Who Can Apply
CEE is looking for a motivated accounts professional with the following:
A Bachelor's degree in Commerce.
An additional qualification in Finance, Accounts, or Operations (an advantage).
A minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in Accounts.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
Familiarity with Tally ERP 9.
Compensation and Contract
The position offers a CTC of ₹40,000-₹45,000. It is a contract role running until October 2027, with an extension possible based on performance or project extension.
