Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com).

  • Preferred: M.Com, Inter CA, or an equivalent professional qualification will be considered an added advantage.

Experience Required

  • Core Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant, hands-on experience handling accounting, finance, payroll, and statutory compliance.

  • Industry Preference: Candidates with a background in the Development Sector, Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFC), Microfinance Institutions (MFI), or Financial Services organizations are highly preferred.

  • Bonus Skills: Prior exposure or additional knowledge regarding FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) regulations will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The selected Accounts Officer will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial discipline and ensuring the smooth functioning of FWWB’s Finance Department. Core responsibilities include:

  1. Credit Accounting & Loan Management: Manage accounting entries within the Loan Management System (LMS), handle disbursements, collections, lender repayments, and prepare loan-related MIS reports.

  2. Payroll Administration: Validate monthly salary inputs, attendance, deductions, reimbursements, and statutory contributions to process timely and confidential payroll.

  3. Accounts & Financial Operations: Verify vendor bills and employee claims, pass critical accounting entries (JV, payment, receipt, contra), and maintain accurate, up-to-date books of accounts.

  4. Statutory Compliance: Handle monthly calculations and timely filings for TDS, GST, PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax (PT).

  5. Cash, Bank & Asset Management: Perform weekly and monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), manage petty cash, and update both the Fixed Asset and Fixed Deposit Registers.

  6. Financial Reporting & Audits: Draft periodic MIS reports, donor variance reports, and provide seamless documentation support during internal and statutory audits.

Technical & Behavioural Competencies

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime and online banking platforms. Experience with Loan Management Systems (LMS) is preferred.

  • Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and data compilation).

  • Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strict integrity regarding confidential data, excellent analytical problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset to coordinate with internal departments (HR, Credit, Projects) and external stakeholders.
