Core Responsibilities: Driving Impact and Strategic Cohesion 🌟

The Advisor, Strategy & Performance will be instrumental in several key areas:

  • Orchestrating Organizational Performance Reviews:

    • Delivery Letters: You’ll set the overarching methodology, collaborate with and provide direction to department heads in establishing annual goals, objectives, and metrics. You’ll also advise the CEO on overarching organizational themes, risks, and priorities, while synthesizing outputs through rigorous review routines with the Leadership Board and departmental leads.

    • Quarterly Strategy & Risk Review (QSRR): This involves consolidating, analyzing, visualizing, and tracking data, risks, and progress against performance targets. You’ll proactively identify areas for course correction, investigate reasons for performance variances, and work with leadership to devise solutions.

    • You will also ensure seamless integration of QSRR and Delivery Letters into the broader delivery infrastructure, encompassing departmental performance routines, risk identification, and progress tracking against organizational strategy.

    • A continuous focus will be on refining metrics and enhancing the overall performance monitoring approach.

    • Synthesize outcomes across all these functions, proactively identifying interdependencies and critical risks, and ensuring appropriate transfer to relevant owners within the Strategy & Delivery Unit.

  • Advising and Collaborating with Senior Stakeholders:

    • You’ll formulate and present recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making on complex issues.

    • Actively partner with strategy leads and cross-functional teams, leveraging sound judgment to advise on intricate internal and external departmental challenges.

    • Collaborate with the President’s Office team to ensure smooth functioning of Leadership Board decision-making and subsequent implementation.

    • Provide direct support to the President/CEO on key strategy and delivery topics, including financial reviews, major systems rollouts, and leadership convenings.

  • Leading Strategic Initiatives:

    • Undertake distinct, strategic projects as requested by the President/CEO.

    • Lead projects within the Strategy & Delivery Unit to fortify the IRC's organizational performance and delivery infrastructure, either independently or by guiding a team.

    • Contribute actively to fostering a positive, collaborative, and efficient team dynamic.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Manage relevant team members within the President’s Office or Strategy & Delivery Unit who are dedicated to organizational performance.

    • Exceptional analytical capabilities, particularly in interpreting and utilizing financial data for decision-making and risk assessment.

    • Proven ability to effectively engage, advise, and support senior leadership on critical strategic matters.
