Sarthak Educational Trust Is Hiring an Advocacy Officer in Gurugram

Join a mission to build an inclusive and empowered tomorrow

Sarthak Educational Trust, an organisation dedicated to empowering the differently abled, is looking for an Advocacy Officer to join its team in Gurugram. The role is for professionals who want to turn their skills in communication, research and stakeholder engagement into meaningful change for persons with disabilities.

About the Role

The Advocacy Officer will support the Trust's advocacy initiatives, campaigns, stakeholder engagement, communication and fundraising activities, all focused on disability inclusion. The position reports to the Advocacy Leader, and the salary is offered as per industry standards.

What You Will Do

  • Support campaigns and events: Help plan and run advocacy campaigns, seminars and events.

  • Engage stakeholders: Coordinate with media, partners and other stakeholders.

  • Research and communicate: Assist with research, reports and communication materials.

  • Mobilise resources: Support CSR initiatives, fundraising and resource mobilisation.

  • Build networks: Develop relationships with NGOs, corporates, government bodies and other organisations.

  • Raise awareness: Contribute to disability awareness and sensitisation initiatives.

  • Manage communications: Run social media platforms and day-to-day communication activities.

Who Can Apply

Education: A postgraduate degree in Social Work or a related field.

Experience: At least 3 years in a relevant field.

Key skills: Communication, networking, research, advocacy, fundraising and presentation.

Why This Role Matters

Disability inclusion depends on attitudes as much as policy. Awareness sessions, such as those Sarthak runs with workplace teams, prompt people to consider the skills and potential of persons with disabilities in their own families, friendships and workplaces. The Advocacy Officer sits at the centre of this work, connecting the Trust with media, corporates, government bodies and civil society so that awareness becomes action and partnership.

The role also offers broad exposure. In one position, you can work across campaigns, research, CSR partnerships, fundraising and digital communication, which suits professionals who want to grow in the development sector.

How to Apply
