Where Sustainability Meets Finance: CSI Is Hiring an Analyst in New Delhi

Climate change is no longer only an environmental issue. It is now a question of capital, regulation, and long-term economic planning. The Climate and Sustainability Initiative (CSI) is hiring an Analyst for its New Delhi team, a role built around that intersection.

About the Role

The Analyst – Sustainability & Finance will work on research, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement, turning complex data into insights that support strategic decisions. The role sits at the meeting point of sustainability, investment trends, financial systems, and regulatory frameworks, areas that increasingly shape how organisations and governments respond to climate challenges.

What You'll Do

Day to day, the Analyst will:

  • Conduct in-depth research and financial analysis on sustainability, policy, and investment trends

  • Build financial models and assess regulatory frameworks

  • Engage with industry stakeholders and support strategic projects

  • Prepare high-quality reports, policy briefs, and presentations

  • Work across sustainability, finance, and policy to generate insights that inform decision-making

The role combines technical rigour with communication. Strong models matter, but so does the ability to explain what they mean to people who must act on them.

Who CSI Is Looking For

CSI is seeking candidates with:

  • Education: A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A CA or CFA qualification is preferred.

  • Experience: One to two years in corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, or sustainability.

  • Skills: Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills, plus the ability to work with large datasets.

  • Tools: Excel proficiency is mandatory.

Why Join CSI?

CSI's pitch to candidates is "Work on questions that matter. Build solutions that last." Joining the team means:

  • Working on cutting-edge sustainability and policy initiatives

  • Collaborating with global experts and industry leaders

  • Contributing to high-impact research and strategic solutions

For early-career professionals, this is a chance to build a foundation in a field that is growing in importance and to see their analysis feed into real strategic decisions.
