In today's fast-paced world, science and technology developments constantly intersect with public policy, budgets, and legislation. From data privacy and AI regulation to public health and renewable energy, policymakers need objective, accessible analysis to navigate complex S&T issues. PRS aims to bridge the gap between technical expertise and legislative action, ensuring laws and policies are informed by the best available evidence.

PRS is actively seeking passionate individuals to join its research team as Analyst or Associate Analyst (Science & Tech). This is a unique opportunity for those with a strong scientific background and a keen interest in policy to influence the legislative landscape of India.
Core Responsibilities and Impact
The successful candidate will be a scientific communicator with a passion for public policy. Key responsibilities include:
Policy Analysis: Tracking various technology and science developments, especially those with significant policy implications in India.
Research Product Development: Preparing clear, thorough, and easy-to-read briefing notes on upcoming legislation (Bills), new policy developments, scientific breakthroughs, and related budgets. These materials must be accessible to a lay audience, including policymakers and citizens.
Communication: Briefly senior policymakers in person and contributing occasional articles to the media.
Independent Research: The ability to work independently, generating new, high-quality research products is essential.
This is a full-time role based in Delhi, though travel may be required for research and dissemination activities. The position reports directly to the Head of Research.

Work Ethic: The ability to work independently while functioning effectively as a team player and delivering quality work in a timely manner (multi-tasking).
