The Role: Orchestrating Effectiveness and Learning

As a MEAL Officer at LEADS, you will be instrumental in ensuring projects are both effective and transparent. Your core responsibilities will encompass:

  • Framework Development: Crafting and implementing comprehensive MEAL frameworks, plans, and tools tailored to project goals.

  • Activity Oversight: Systematically tracking project activities and outputs to confirm alignment with key indicators.

  • On-Site Engagement: Conducting regular field visits for crucial data verification, tracking project outcomes, and gathering direct feedback from beneficiaries.

  • Analytical Reporting: Interpreting collected data and preparing insightful periodic monitoring and evaluation reports to guide strategic decisions.

  • Knowledge Integration: Facilitating learning sessions and actively incorporating findings into project adjustments for continuous improvement.

  • Accountability Systems: Managing and enhancing accountability mechanisms, including responsive feedback loops and grievance redressal systems.

This position involves frequent travel to field locations, offering direct engagement with community-level development efforts.

Candidate Profile: Qualifications & Expertise

Ideal candidates for this role will possess:

  • Education: A postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Rural Management, or a closely related discipline.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in MEAL roles within the development sector.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of logical frameworks, results-based management, and various monitoring and evaluation methodologies.

  • Data Proficiency: Competence in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, Power BI, or similar platforms.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent reporting and documentation abilities, with strong written English for professional reports.

  • Interpersonal Prowess: Exceptional interpersonal and communication capabilities.

  • Community Insight: Prior experience working directly with communities and local governance structures is highly valued.

  • Inclusive Perspective: An understanding of gender, inclusion, and participatory methodologies will be a distinct advantage.

Compensation and Application Details

The salary for this position is ₹31,000/- per month, with negotiation possible based on experience.
