Catalysts for Social Action Is Hiring: Assistant Manager, Partnership & Alliances

Helping every child thrive starts with building strong partnerships.

Catalysts for Social Action (CSA) works on a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. The organisation, whose tagline is "A family for every child," supports vulnerable children, children under institutional care, and care leavers across multiple states in India. To grow that work, CSA is now looking for an Assistant Manager for its Partnership & Alliances team.

The role at a glance

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Mumbai, with travel to other CSA locations as required. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Partnership & Alliances, and CSA is looking for candidates with 5 to 6 years of experience.

What the job involves

The Assistant Manager will lead efforts to strengthen and grow CSA's donor base across several segments: corporates, foundations, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), institutions, and individual supporters. The work goes beyond raising money. It means cultivating long-term relationships, securing financial and in-kind resources, ensuring compliance and impactful reporting, and designing meaningful ways for supporters to engage with the cause.

The responsibilities fall into several areas:

Donor and partner prospecting. The role involves identifying and researching potential donors and partners, and maintaining a donor database that tracks giving trends.

Relationship management. The Assistant Manager will build and strengthen long-term donor relationships and coordinate donor meetings, presentations, and field visits.

Fundraising and partnership development. This includes developing proposals, presentations, and partnership pitches, and mobilising financial, in-kind, and long-term support. The person in this role will also work towards annual fundraising targets.

Donor engagement. The role supports donor, employee engagement, and fundraising campaigns, and aims to create donor experiences that reflect CSA's values.

Reporting and compliance. The Assistant Manager will coordinate programme updates, impact data, and donor reports, and ensure timely documentation, compliance, and utilisation reports.

Internal collaboration. The role works closely with the Programme and Partnership teams on proposals and donor servicing, and supports the wider fundraising and donor engagement strategy.

Who should apply

CSA is looking for someone with strong communication, relationship management, and fundraising skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between the external world of donors and partners and the internal world of programme teams and compliance requirements. They should be as capable of pitching to a corporate partner as of producing a clear utilisation report. Those with a background in development-sector fundraising, CSR partnerships, or donor reporting may find this a natural next step.

How to apply

Interested candidates should send their updated resume to hr@csa.org.in with the subject line "Assistant Manager – Partnerships & Alliances." CSA also asks applicants to mention their current and expected salary in the application.

For professionals who want their work to translate directly into better outcomes for children, this role offers a chance to do exactly that, by connecting resources with the people who need them most.
