Collaborative Philanthropy Foundation Is Hiring: Assistant Manager/Senior Officer, Finance, Accounts & Compliance

Collaborative Philanthropy Foundation (CPF) is looking for a finance professional to join its team in New Delhi. The opening is for an Assistant Manager/Senior Officer, Finance, Accounts & Compliance, based at the organization's office on Barakhamba Road in the heart of the capital.

About the Role

CPF wants a detail-oriented, motivated professional to join its Finance team. The person will manage financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, and support the organization's financial reporting. The role suits someone who is comfortable with both day-to-day accounting and the regulatory side of running a philanthropic organization.

Who Should Apply

CPF is looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounts

  • Working knowledge of statutory compliance and CSR-related legal frameworks

  • Strong attention to detail, with good organizational and analytical skills

  • Prior experience in the social sector or allied fields (preferred, not mandatory)

The social sector preference suggests CPF values candidates who understand how nonprofits, donors, and implementing partners work, though strong finance professionals from other backgrounds may still be considered.

What the Job Involves

The role covers six main areas.

1. Accounting and transactions. The core of the job is recording, reviewing, and posting financial transactions accurately and on time. The role also involves developing and maintaining standardized procedures for finance-related processes, which helps keep the books consistent as the organization grows.

2. Payables and payments. The post-holder manages accounts payable, including bill payments, correspondence, and documentation. This includes overseeing monthly disbursals and processing payments to vendors, NGOs, and others via E-NET, with proper TDS deductions and tracking of expenses and advances.

3. Financial reporting and reconciliation. Working under the guidance of the reporting manager, the person prepares financial statements, reports, estimates, and analytical summaries. They also conduct monthly and annual reconciliations of income and expenses.

4. Statutory compliance and finalization. This covers timely compliance with TDS, PF, and other regulatory requirements. The role also assists in finalizing the books of accounts, schedules, annual return filings, and the Balance Sheet and Receipts & Payments Account.

5. Donor and donation management. The person issues 80G (Tax Exemption Certificates) to corporate and individual donors. They also manage donation management systems, including disbursals, donor records, and campaign data.

6. NGO coordination. The role includes issuing fund transfer communications to partner NGOs in line with project requirements, and taking on additional tasks assigned by the reporting manager.

Why This Role Stands Out

The position combines traditional finance work with the particular demands of the philanthropic sector. Handling 80G certificates, CSR-linked compliance, and fund transfers to partner NGOs gives the post-holder a view of how money moves from donors to ground-level impact. For professionals who want their accounting skills to support social causes, this is a good opportunity.
