About the Role

As the Assistant Program Manager, you will be a key player in DEF's mission to use technology for social good. This role goes beyond simple management; it's about leading the charge on projects from ideation to execution. You will be responsible for:

• Project Leadership: Taking ownership of projects, from initial planning and framework development to independent handling and strategic execution.

• Team & Stakeholder Management: Guiding a diverse team, coordinating with various stakeholders, and networking with other NGOs and government agencies to build effective partnerships.

• Proposal & Documentation: Independently preparing project proposals, ensuring high-quality documentation, and contributing to publications focused on ICT for development.

• Operational Excellence: Overseeing project finances, managing team members' time, and ensuring the timely delivery of project objectives.

Who They're Looking For

DEF is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a primary focus on project implementation. The ideal candidate will have:

• A Postgraduate Degree in Business Management, Economics, Rural Management, MSW, Development Communications, or a related field.

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in team management, community engagement, and strategic project execution.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital tools.

• Excellent writing and communication skills in both English and Hindi.

• A willingness to travel, particularly for projects in rural areas.

This role requires someone who is proactive, quick, and has strong interpersonal skills. If you have a knack for turning a vision into a tangible project and a passion for technology's role in development, this could be the perfect fit.

The position offers a competitive salary of ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 per month, which is negotiable based on your experience and suitability for the role.
