The Role: Associate – Nature and Climate Resilience
As an Associate at IORA, you won’t just be sitting behind a desk. The position offers a dynamic blend of multidisciplinary collaboration and practical field experience. You will be at the heart of project delivery, ensuring that nature-backed strategies translated into tangible results.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Research & Analysis: Conducting deep-dive research to align with project scopes and climate goals.
Deliverable Excellence: Drafting technical reports, policy briefs, and high-impact presentations.
Fieldwork & Engagement: Performing primary data collection and engaging with diverse stakeholders to ensure project success.
Strategic Growth: Developing innovative concepts and proposals to secure funding from donor agencies and the private sector.
Communication: Creating outreach products like journal articles, blog posts, and impact stories to influence public and policy spheres.
Who Should Apply?
IORA is looking for detail-oriented candidates who possess a strong academic background and a foundational understanding of the climate landscape.
Educational Qualifications: A Master’s degree is required in one of the following (or related) fields:
Climate Science or Environmental Management
Public Policy
Natural Resource Management
Sustainable Development
Professional Experience & Skills:
1-2 years of experience specifically in climate change adaptation, mitigation, resilience, or climate finance projects.
Strong knowledge of climate modeling, vulnerability assessments, and statistical analysis.
Familiarity with current national and international climate policy trends.
