Are you passionate about making a real difference in rural communities? Tomorrow's Foundation is looking for a dedicated Block Supervisor to join our team in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. This full-time position, based in the Labpur and Illambazar blocks, is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in supporting and implementing impactful social development projects.
About the Role: Your Chance to Lead Change
As a Block Supervisor, you will be the backbone of our on-the-ground operations. Your main goal will be to ensure our projects run smoothly and effectively. You'll work closely with our community mobilization teams, providing crucial support in planning, training, and logistics. This role isn't just about managing tasks; it's about being a hands-on problem-solver and a vital link between our field teams, the community, and project goals.
You'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
Assisting with the planning and execution of project activities.
Coordinating with Community Mobilizers to ensure seamless operations.
Collecting and compiling critical data from the field.
Troubleshooting challenges to keep projects on track.
Maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
Traveling frequently between the Labpur and Illambazar blocks to monitor progress and provide direct support.
Who We're Looking For: A Perfect Fit
We are seeking a Block Supervisor who has a genuine interest in social development and a proven track record of success.
To qualify for this role, you should have:
A Graduate degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Alternatively, a Class XII pass with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
What will make you stand out?
Prior experience in social development, especially in areas like livelihoods, education, or microfinance.
Strong skills in digital tools, including MIS platforms, and excellent documentation abilities.
Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
Candidates who are local to the Birbhum district are highly preferred, as local knowledge and connections are invaluable.
Essential: You must own a laptop and a vehicle for field travel.
Compensation & Application Details
This is a great chance to contribute to meaningful work while earning a competitive salary of Rs 16,000 per month, plus travel allowance (TA) based on actual expenses.
