The Role: Activating Child Protection Structures
As a Child Protection Personnel, you will be at the forefront of Prayatn Sanstha’s efforts to strengthen child protection systems. This is a field-based position, requiring extensive travel within the assigned districts of Bharatpur, Dholpur (Rajasthan), and Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh).
Your primary goal will be to activate and empower the various child protection structures that exist from the village to the district level. This involves:
Strategic Planning: Creating and implementing action plans for effective child protection initiatives.
Capacity Building: Identifying the training needs of child protection structure members and developing capacity-building plans and educational materials.
Collaboration and Advocacy: Working closely with government officials, police, judiciary, and elected representatives to ensure a coordinated approach to child protection. You will also build linkages with media houses to raise awareness on critical issues.
Who We're Looking For
Prayatn Sanstha is seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong understanding of child protection laws and structures.
Requirements:
Education: A post-graduate degree in Rural Development, Law, Social Work, Social Sciences, Human Rights, or a related field.
Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in child protection, child development, or working with government structures.
Skills: Strong leadership, strategic planning, and analytical abilities are essential. You should have excellent coordination and documentation skills in both Hindi and English.
Prayatn Sanstha provides a supportive environment for professional growth and encourages women candidates to apply. The initial contract for this long-term project is for two years, with the potential for extension based on performance.
