The Society of Community Health Oriented Operational Links (SCHOOL), a dedicated non-profit organization founded in 2007, is expanding its flagship initiative, Vriddha Mitra. In a push to achieve SDG-3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), the organization is currently seeking a dynamic and empathetic Cluster Coordinator to join their team in Pune.

The Mission: Dignity and Care for India’s Seniors

The core vision of the Vriddha Mitra initiative is to ensure that India’s elderly population leads lives defined by dignity, security, and wholeness. By building an age-friendly ecosystem, SCHOOL aims to shift societal perceptions and actions regarding senior citizens.

The program focuses on:

Role Overview: Cluster Coordinator

The Cluster Coordinator serves as a critical link between high-level program goals and the practical delivery of community services. This role is essential for ensuring that the mission translates into tangible support for seniors at the street and household level.

  • Reporting to: Program Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee Community Officers (COs) and ensure the seamless delivery of essential services:

  1. Program Implementation: Facilitate comprehensive home-based services, including health monitoring, nutritional guidance, physiotherapy, and emotional support.

  2. Mentoring & Supervision: Conduct regular field visits and provide on-site mentoring to build the capacity and effectiveness of the CO team.

  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government officials and local health institutions to help seniors navigate and access vital social schemes.

  4. Advocacy: Champion the need for elderly-friendly infrastructure, such as improved sanitation and accessible footpaths.

  5. Knowledge Management: Validate data within MIS tools and document "success stories" that highlight the impact of the program.

Who Should Apply?

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Minimum $10^{th}$ or $12^{th}$ grade pass.

  • Experience: Previous background in community welfare or elder care is highly preferred.

  • Language: Proficiency in the local language(s); basic knowledge of Marathi, Hindi, and English.

  • Tech Literacy: Ability to use smartphones for app-based reporting and data entry.

  • Personal Traits: High levels of patience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to travel extensively within the assigned cluster.
