Role Overview: What Does a Community Mobilization Officer Do?

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain active, collaborative relationships with key local bodies, including Gram Panchayats, Anganwadi centers, ASHA workers, and school administrations.

• Community Outreach: Plan and execute a variety of grassroots activities, such as community health events, door-to-door awareness campaigns, and interactive Behavior Change Communication (BCC) sessions.

• Strategic Planning: Design and implement localized outreach strategies tailored to the specific needs of each community.

• Collaborative Partnerships: Coordinate effectively with CSR partners, local NGOs, and government health departments to ensure a multi-stakeholder approach and maximize impact.

• Monitoring and Reporting: Diligently track field activities, collect qualitative and quantitative data, gather testimonials, and contribute to comprehensive monitoring and evaluation reports.

• Capacity Building: Mobilize and train a dedicated team of community volunteers, fostering local ownership and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project's goals.
