The Opportunity: Data Analyst - Intensified Malaria Elimination

PCI India is looking to fill two full-time Data Analyst positions to support the National Centre for Vector Borne Disease Control (NCVBDC) on the GFATM-supported Intensified Malaria Elimination Project (IMEP-3).

Based at NCVBDC, you will be crucial in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the program by translating raw data into actionable insights. This role is a direct bridge between planning and on-the-ground implementation across various levels (National, State, District, Sub-district).

Key Responsibilities and Impact

As a Data Analyst, your primary focus will be on the vital management and analysis of malaria-related data. Your efforts will directly contribute to evidence-based health policy and intervention strategy.1

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Data Bank Creation: Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive data bank using monthly malaria data received from States/UTs.

  • IHIP Support: Providing support for the regular analysis of data within the IHIP (Integrated Health Information Platform) Malaria system.

  • Analytical Support: Assisting Monitoring & Evaluation Managers and Consultants with in-depth data analysis.2

The initial appointment is on a contract basis for one year, extendable annually based on performance assessment until March 2027. The upper age limit for this position is 30 years, and the role requires a readiness to travel extensively.5
