What the Job Involves
The position centres on Accounts Payable and vendor management, with responsibility spread across five areas.
1. Accounts Payable and vendor management. The Deputy Manager will process vendor invoices in SAP, handle trade and non-trade payments within defined timelines, and perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, invoices and goods receipt notes (GRN) with the required approvals. They will also maintain vendor ledgers and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
2. Expenses, MIS and period-end closing. This covers indirect expense payables and prepaid expense records, monthly MIS inputs, expense schedules and variance analysis. It also includes prepaid expense amortisation, accrual accounting and period-end activities.
3. TDS and compliance. The role reviews monthly TDS reports from SAP, calculates liabilities, ensures timely payments and challan generation, and supports return filing and statutory audits. It also means making sure the applicable TDS provisions are followed for vendor transactions.
4. Banking and reconciliation. The Deputy Manager maintains bank ledgers, prepares monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements, tracks pending transactions and supports cash flow monitoring.
5. ERP and process improvement. This is what sets the role apart. The person will support ERP and system implementation, take part in UAT (user acceptance testing) and workflow design, contribute to finance automation initiatives, and train colleagues and stakeholders on new systems and processes.
Who Should Apply

Hands-on experience with SAP FI/MM
A strong understanding of TDS, vendor taxation and challan generation
