DA is currently seeking a Deputy Manager for Waste Management to lead critical initiatives from their New Delhi office. This is a contract-based role offering a unique opportunity to work on the front lines of environmental reform.

Role and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of activities focused on Solid Waste Management (SWM) systems. Your scope of work will include:
Project Implementation: Leading community-centric waste management models and driving on-ground activation in urban and peri-urban settlements.
Technical Support: Designing waste audits, performing baseline assessments, and providing technical guidance to municipalities and panchayats to strengthen SWM systems.
Capacity Building: Designing behavior-change interventions and leading training programs for community stakeholders and waste management workers.
Documentation & Strategy: Creating monitoring frameworks, analyzing data for course correction, and preparing technical reports, SOPs, and case studies.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 3 years of professional experience in solid waste management or sustainability. DA is looking for individuals with:
A strong understanding of circular economy concepts and decentralized waste systems.
Proven ability to lead field operations and manage multi-site assignments.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
Preferred: Experience working with urban local bodies or state agencies, and exposure to social research tools.
