What Does a District Coordinator Do?
The District Coordinator manages a district-level assessment programme from start to finish. The role is mostly about coordination: connecting officials, schools, field teams and Ei's central operations team so that everything runs on schedule. Day to day, you will:
Liaise with district and block education officials to obtain permissions and school or student data
Recruit, train and supervise field team members such as enumerators and auditors, in consultation with Ei leads
Plan daily field routes, allocate team resources and track progress
Coordinate and oversee digital assessment activities in assigned schools
Make sure data is collected, verified and submitted accurately
Prepare and submit timely field reports and updates
Identify and resolve operational challenges on the ground before they become delays
Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or Social Work, such as MSW, BSW, B.Ed. or M.Ed.
Experience: At least 2 years in the education sector, preferably in EdTech or assessment projects.
Skills: Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
Language: Proficiency in the local language of the state, plus Hindi and English.
Other requirements:
A personal two-wheeler with a valid driving licence
Minimum age of 20 years
Preferred (not mandatory):
Knowledge of local geography and communities
Prior experience in operations or project coordination
Salary and Benefits
Monthly compensation: ₹25,000 to ₹30,000, depending on relevant industry experience
Travel allowance: ₹4 per km
Training: Comprehensive training before the assignment begins
Experience Certificate: Awarded by Ei on successful completion
Since the role involves regular travel between schools and blocks, the per-kilometre allowance is a useful addition to the monthly pay.
