Key Responsibilities of the District Technical Advisor
As a District Technical Advisor, you will serve as a vital team lead for EGPAF's program implementation at the district level. Your primary duties will include:
Program Leadership: Leading a cohesive team and coordinating with EGPAF consortium partners to ensure optimal health service delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as the primary liaison between the Foundation and District Health Authorities, as well as other key stakeholders.
Technical Assistance: Providing essential support to public health facilities through training, mentoring, and supportive supervision to enhance HIV/TB care and treatment services.
Clinical Support: Offering direct clinical care to clients with complex cases when needed.
Reporting: Managing and submitting district program reports to EGPAF's project and technical leadership.
Qualifications and Experience for the Role
To be considered for this impactful position, candidates must have a medical degree (MD, MBBS, or MBChB). A Master of Public Health or Master of Sciences is an added advantage. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:
At least one year of relevant experience in public health program implementation, particularly in HIV, TB, Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH), or health systems strengthening.
Demonstrated experience in providing technical support and mentorship to healthcare workers.
Proven ability to work effectively with District Health Management Teams (DHMTs) and coordinate multi-sectoral stakeholders.
A strong understanding of national health policies and guidelines in Lesotho or similar contexts.
Experience in planning and conducting supportive supervision visits and mentorship programs.
