Are you an experienced and passionate education leader driven to create impactful change for underprivileged children? Howrah South Point Social Welfare & Community Development Centre is seeking a dedicated Education Director to lead its vital Formal School Project. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the educational journey of over 150 first-generation learners and school dropouts across Howrah and Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.

Our Formal School Project focuses on providing essential formal schooling to destitute children, with a specific emphasis on re-engaging those who have dropped out and supporting late learners to catch up.
Your Impact: Leading Educational Initiatives
Based at our Head Office in Howrah, West Bengal, you'll report directly to the Administrator and Competent Authority. Your daily commitment (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) will involve a diverse range of responsibilities, all aimed at ensuring the project's success and aligning with HSP's core mission. Fluency in both Hindi and English is crucial for effective collaboration.
Your key areas of contribution will include:
Strategic Administrative Oversight
You'll be instrumental in the planning, monitoring, and implementation of the Formal School Project. This encompasses managing project staff, overseeing resource allocation, ensuring deadlines are met, and strictly adhering to financial guidelines. A critical aspect of your role will be safeguarding the well-being of both staff and beneficiaries. Regular visits to our Formal Schools in Howrah and Jalpaiguri are expected, with comprehensive monthly reports providing insights into project progress and its impact.
Innovative Curriculum Development
You'll design and refine a dynamic and responsive curriculum tailored to meet the unique educational needs of the project's beneficiaries. This involves integrating diverse activities and extracurricular initiatives to foster holistic development and overall improvement for the children.
Cultivating Effective Teaching
You'll play a pivotal role in fostering an engaging and supportive classroom environment that inspires children's enthusiasm for learning. This includes guiding staff in conducting educational needs assessments, meticulously tracking student progress, and maintaining open and consistent communication with parents. You'll also oversee the creation of progress reports and provide essential guidance and counseling to benefit each child's educational journey.
Teacher Empowerment and Training
As a key trainer, you'll significantly contribute to the teacher training program for HSP's Formal Schools in Howrah. Your expertise in methodologies like Montessori and other effective teaching practices will be vital in empowering our educators to deliver the best possible learning experience for our children.
Additional Responsibilities
You will also undertake any other duties assigned by the Administrator or competent authority, contributing to the overarching success of Howrah South Point's mission.

Compensation and Benefits
This challenging yet rewarding position offers a competitive salary of Rs. 25,000 per month, along with PF, Festival Allowance, and other facilities.
