Dhanak of Humanity, a dedicated social organization based in Delhi, is currently seeking a passionate and driven female professional to join their team as an Assistant Program Executive - Child Support. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of child rights, specifically addressing the needs of children restored to their families by Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) and those facing natal family violence.
Based in East Delhi, the executive will serve as a "Support Person" under legal provisions, playing a vital role in the rehabilitation and protection of Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCPs).
Key Responsibilities: Counseling, Liaison, and Advocacy
The Assistant Program Executive will manage a diverse portfolio of responsibilities centered on the safety and well-being of minor survivors:
Direct Support for Survivors: Conducting socio-legal counseling sessions at the child's place of stay and maintaining individual care plans.
Case Management: Regular visits to families involved in cases of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) and romantic relationships (RR), ensuring the child's safety before stakeholders like the police and CWCs.
Networking & Liaison: Coordinating with District Child Protection Officers, school principals, and legal authorities (DSLSA) to facilitate relief and compensation for children.
Educational Empowerment: Enrolling and following up with CNCPs and children of incarcerated parents (COIPS) in Centers for Learning & Empowerment (CLEs).
Community Outreach: Facilitating awareness sessions for youth in schools and community organizations regarding child rights and gender equality.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to social justice and possess the following qualifications:
Education: A Post Graduation degree in Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology.
Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication, public speaking, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
Attributes: The candidate must be a self-starter, capable of managing multiple project timelines with high-quality output while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Travel: A willingness to travel alone within Delhi/NCR and occasionally to other states for hearings or official meetings is essential.
