🎯 Role Overview: Be the Catalyst for Change

The Field Facilitator is a crucial frontline position, acting as the vital link between the project and the tribal communities of Jawhar. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of innovative natural resource management and agricultural practices.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong rapport-building skills who are comfortable working in remote areas.

🌟 Core Responsibilities: From Mobilization to Monitoring

Your work will be a mix of community engagement, technical support, and practical agricultural extension:

1. Community Mobilization & Institution Building

  • Facilitate grassroots democracy by organizing Gram Sabha and village meetings.

  • Support the formation and strengthening of essential community groups like Water User Groups, SHGs (Self-Help Groups), and Tool Bank committees.

  • Ensure transparent and ethical identification of beneficiaries for all project support.

2. Field Implementation & NRM Structures

  • Work alongside technical teams to secure community permissions for crucial NRM structures.

  • Monitor and verify the daily progress of check dam desiltation, dug well/farm pond renovation, recharge shafts, and the installation/usage of micro-irrigation and solar pumps.

  • Ensure accurate documentation using GPS and photographic evidence.

3. Agriculture Extension & Training

  • Conduct frequent household and farm visits to provide practical guidance on improved, water-efficient crop practices.

  • Promote the adoption of modern irrigation systems (drip/sprinkler) and support the organization of model plots and demonstrations.

  • Mobilize farmers for essential training sessions, exposure visits, and the distribution of IEC materials on water conservation, nutrition, and climate-resilient farming.

  • Logistics: Ability to work in remote locations and proficiency in Marathi and local tribal dialects is highly preferred. Two-wheeler driving is an asset.
