Arpan, a leading NGO dedicated to child protection and prevention of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA), is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join their team as a Field Officer - Government Partnerships. Based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, this role is pivotal in strengthening collaboration between Arpan and government bodies to ensure a safer world for children.

The Role: Bridging the Gap for Child Protection

The Field Officer - Government Partnerships will be responsible for a wide range of activities aimed at fostering effective collaboration and ensuring the smooth implementation of child protection programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordination & Liaison: Building and maintaining strong working relationships with government authorities at state, district, and block levels. This involves coordinating logistics, finding venues for events, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.

  • Program Implementation Support: Working closely with government officials, teachers, and trainers to ensure the effective delivery of training programs and providing technical support for program execution.

  • Data Collection & Reporting: Gathering and compiling relevant data from various government levels and supporting research teams in their data collection efforts.

  • Meetings & Representation: Representing Arpan in government-led forums and committees related to child protection and CSA prevention.

  • Monitoring & Field Visits: Conducting regular visits to track program progress, assess implementation quality, and provide constructive feedback.

  • Reports & Documentation: Preparing timely reports for government and project units, documenting field findings, success stories, and challenges.

  • Events & Campaigns: Identifying opportunities for collaboration in state or district-level events like Child Safety Week and ensuring Arpan’s visibility in these initiatives.

  • Committees & Advocacy: Actively participating in district and block-level committees and advocating for the improved implementation of child protection policies.

Who is the Ideal Candidate?

Arpan is looking for individuals who possess a unique blend of educational background, professional experience, and soft skills:

  • Educational Qualifications: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in government liaison, program coordination, teacher training, or working within government education/training systems.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: A strong understanding of child rights and Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) prevention.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, and networking skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and report writing is required.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and spoken Hindi and English.

  • Mobility: Ability to travel frequently across districts within and outside the state as needed.
