The Role: Finance and Administration Officer
The successful candidate will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and smooth administrative operations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
FunctionKey TasksDaily Accounting & Data Management
1. Daily entry of vouchers into Tally or similar accounting software.
2. Entry of financial and activity data into spreadsheets for continuous planning and monitoring.
Compliance & Reporting
1. Weekly processing of payments to vendors, partners, and team members after proper authorization.
2. Preparation of crucial monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for statutory compliance (e.g., audit, Income Tax, FCRA, and Charity Commissioner returns).
Administration & Field Support
1. Reviewing and monitoring monthly travel log sheets.
2. Organising logistics for team events, board meetings, and other organizational gatherings.
3. Regular visits to field offices to review administrative/financial arrangements and monitor organizational assets.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this non-profit finance officer position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Education (Required): Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience (Required): At least 1 year of financial accounting experience.
Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of essential tools, including:
Tally (or comparable ERP software like ERP Next)
MS Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word)
Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs)
Internet Browsers and Email
Language: Fluency in English is required.
Work Location: The job is full-time and on-site in Ahmedabad.1
Compensation and Application Details
Salary: The starting pay is Rs. 18,000/- per month during a 3-month probation period.
Upon successful completion of probation, the pay increases to Rs. 20,000/- per month.
