The Opportunity: Anchoring Trust and Regulatory Soundness

Ensuring FCRA Assurance & Fund Utilization: Independently validating that all expenditures from FCRA funds are programmatically justified, financially precise, supported by appropriate documentation, align with funding agreements and budgets, and strictly adhere to FCRA definitions and regulations. This includes the crucial task of reviewing and approving Utilization Certificates (UCs).
Strengthening Documentation & Audit Readiness: Developing and maintaining robust assurance checklists and verification protocols for every transaction, thereby creating comprehensive audit trails essential for FCRA inspections, statutory audits, and program partner reviews. They will also be responsible for validating statutory filings, such as Form FC-4, against fully reconciled documentation.
Implementing Internal Controls & Capacity Building: Crafting and implementing internal control processes in strict alignment with FCRA guidelines, conducting regular internal audits and reviews of fund usage, and educating internal teams on FCRA compliance prerequisites and documentation best practices.
Facilitating Governance & Reporting: Providing essential support to the CFO for compliance-related reporting to the board, statutory authorities, and program partners, and assisting with governance reviews and data preparation for key meetings and audits.
Candidate Profile: Qualifications & Essential Attributes
Social Alpha is seeking Chartered Accountants with profound and up-to-date knowledge of the FCRA Act 2010 and Rules 2011 (and subsequent amendments). Applicants should possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in non-profit financial management, with a significant emphasis on FCRA compliance and fund assurance.

Uncompromising integrity and an unwavering commitment to full compliance.
A highly analytical approach with meticulous attention to detail.
Sound judgment in navigating complex programmatic and financial considerations.
Exceptional interpersonal and cross-functional communication abilities.
