Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) is Hiring for GIZ Project Goa

The Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC), with support from GIZ and the Goa Government, is starting a project to develop and implement "Net Positive Action Plans" in three Panchayats in Goa. The goal is to create scalable, community-led models for decarbonization and enable state-level adoption. The project will run for 15 months on a fixed-term employment basis. The FMC is seeking professionals for multiple positions for this project. The last date to apply for all positions is August 11, 2025.

Vacant Positions:

1. Project Manager (1 position)

• Job Description: The Project Manager will lead the implementation of low-carbon solutions in the selected Panchayats, focusing on areas such as energy, mobility, and the circular economy. The role involves coordinating with government departments, stakeholders, and the project team for planning and execution. The Project Manager will report to the Deputy General Manager at FMC Headquarters.

• Location: Goa, with frequent travel to Delhi and other parts of India.

• Skills and Qualifications: Applicants should have a Master's degree in a related field such as Environment, Public Policy, Energy, or Rural Development. The position requires 8-10 years of project management experience, preferably in sustainability, climate, energy, or rural development. Fluency in English and Hindi is a must, and knowledge of Konkani is an advantage.

2. Deputy Project Manager (1 position)

• Job Description: The Deputy Project Manager will support the Project Manager with day-to-day coordination, planning, and monitoring of project activities. This includes assisting with stakeholder engagement, conducting diagnostics, and managing data and GHG profiling. The Deputy Project Manager will report to the Project Manager.

• Location: Goa, with frequent travel to Delhi and other locations in India.

• Skills and Qualifications: A Master's degree in Environmental Studies, Rural Management, Social Work, or Development Studies is required. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in field coordination or implementing community/climate-focused projects. Fluency in English and Hindi is a must, and Konkani is an advantage.

3. Field Executive (3 positions)

• Job Description: Field Executives will conduct field-level data collection, surveys, and stakeholder mapping. They will facilitate village-level workshops, support community engagement, and help with the implementation of pilot programs. They will report to the Deputy Project Manager.

• Location: Based in the selected Panchayats in Goa, with travel to Delhi or other states.

• Skills and Qualifications: Candidates should have a graduate degree in Social Sciences, Environment, or Rural Development. The position requires 2-4 years of experience in rural or environmental community work. Knowledge of Konkani is essential, while English and Hindi are preferred.
