💼 Core Responsibilities: Beyond the Reception Desk

The role is multifaceted, blending strong interpersonal skills with robust administrative efficiency. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Visitor & Guest Relations: Providing a warm, professional, and culturally sensitive welcome; managing the visitor experience, including logging, badging, and coordinating with security.

  • Reception & Telephone Handling: Operating the multi-line phone system with excellence, directing calls, handling sensitive queries, and ensuring prompt message dissemination.

  • Administrative Support: Managing the reception area’s appearance and supplies; handling all incoming/outgoing mail and couriers; assisting with filing, data entry, and maintenance of key logs.

  • Meeting & Event Logistics: Supporting internal events by booking and setting up meeting rooms, and assisting with travel/accommodation logistics for guests.

  • Security / Access Control: Enforcing front-desk security protocols, verifying identity, issuing passes, and monitoring/reporting any security concerns.

CDRI is looking for a candidate who is the embodiment of professionalism and service excellence.

Essential Skills:

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English fluency is mandatory. Knowledge of a UN official language is a strong asset.

  • Interpersonal: A confident, friendly, and professional demeanor, with strong etiquette and the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders, from visitors to senior management.

  • Technical Proficiency: Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a quick ability to learn new office systems (e.g., multi-line phones, visitor management systems).

  • Integrity: High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

  • Organization: Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Administration or a related field, with 2–5 years of relevant experience in a similar front-office/guest relations role within a corporate or professional environment.

  • or A Bachelor's degree plus an additional 2 years of relevant experience may be accepted.

  • Proven track record in managing front-desk operations and telephone systems.
