The project focuses on shifting societal perception, developing robust support structures, and delivering responsive healthcare and caregiving services tailored to older people.

Position Overview

  • Position Title: Program Coordinator

  • Position Type: Full-time

  • Reporting To: Program Manager

  • Target Audience/Work Setting: Urban slums and vulnerable elderly populations

Key Roles and Responsibilities

As a Program Coordinator, you will play a vital hands-on role in field execution, capacity building, and reporting.

1. Field Monitoring & Support

  • Oversee home visits, rapport-building activities, need assessments, counseling, and virtual OPD sessions for the elderly.

  • Provide training and capacity building for staff and community officers on senior health and social issues.

  • Supervise record-keeping, organize community awareness meetings, and manage referrals.

  • Engage key local influencers and community members to build strong support networks for program initiatives.

2. Stakeholder Linkages & Volunteer Engagement

  • Build partnerships with local community leaders, networking NGOs, and civil society organizations.

  • Identify, onboard, and manage local community volunteers to support ground activities.

3. Documentation & MIS Management

  • Document field activities, case profiles, community sessions, and case stories.

  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual activity reports.

  • Assist community officers with Management Information Systems (MIS) preparation and supply data to the M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation) coordinator as needed.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

To be eligible for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: Master's in Social Work (M.S.W.) from a reputed institute OR M.A. in Sociology / Humanities.

  • Experience: 5–6 years of relevant field experience in the social sector.

  • Core Aptitude: Willingness to work directly in urban slums with elderly populations.

  • Professional Standards: Strong adherence to organizational administrative policies, along with participation in mandatory training and workshops.
