The Position: Championing Effective Grant Oversight
As a Grant Management Officer, you'll be central to FMSF's core mission. This project-based employment position reports directly to the Manager – Grant Management and focuses on the comprehensive oversight of grants for development projects. Your responsibilities will extend beyond mere regulatory adherence, requiring a deep understanding of the development landscape. You will be instrumental in guiding NGOs to strengthen their governance, financial management, and compliance frameworks and practices.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the grant management portfolio for mid to large-scale development projects.
Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Performing budget reviews and analyses to optimize program planning and implementation.
Ensuring effective cash flow forecasting and regular plan assessments.
Facilitating the timely review and release of project funds to partners.
Maintaining a meticulously organized and accessible information management and filing system for all project documentation.
Driving continuous improvement in the financial management, compliance, and governance processes of partner NGOs.
Conducting periodic field visits to support effective project implementation.
Contributing to the organization's broader capacity-building initiatives.
Candidate Profile: Skills and Qualifications
FMSF is seeking a proactive and experienced professional with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity within the development sector. The ideal candidate will possess:
Preferably an MBA, CA, or M.Com in Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Comprehensive knowledge of grant management and project financial administration.
Proven efficient time management skills.
Strong analytical and organizational desktop management skills.
Proficiency in IT and communication tools.
A willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
