About the Opportunity
The role sits at the intersection of heritage and enterprise — coordinators will work directly with weavers, field staff, and vendors to strengthen handloom projects from the ground up. Key Responsibilities
The role spans four major areas:
Project Coordination & Management — Overseeing project activities, monitoring timelines, coordinating across teams and stakeholders, and ensuring smooth implementation on the ground.
Handloom Production & Machine Handling — Managing day-to-day handloom operations, maintaining machinery, and ensuring quality production alongside efficient resource utilization.
Marketing & Business Development — Supporting product promotion, building market linkages for handloom goods, and identifying new sales opportunities while maintaining relationships with buyers.
Team Coordination & Field Management — Working closely with artisans, field staff, and vendors, conducting field visits, and providing training and guidance where needed.
Who the Foundation Is Looking For
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Textile, Handloom, Rural Development, Fashion Technology, or a related field is required, with relevant experience in handloom projects, weaving operations, or the textile sector preferred.
Skills & Experience:
Experience in handloom or textile-related projects
Knowledge of weaving techniques and machine operations
Marketing and promotion experience for handloom products
Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills
Willingness to travel for field visits and project monitoring
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office) and documentation ability
