Mumbai, India – The Jai Vakeel Foundation (JVF), one of the oldest and largest non-profit institutes in India dedicated to serving children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), has announced several job openings across various departments. The foundation, committed to the inclusion of all individuals with IDD, is seeking dedicated and driven individuals to join its mission of creating a more inclusive society.
Founded in 1944, the Jai Vakeel Foundation has impacted the lives of lakhs of children and their families over its 77-year history. The organization provides a holistic approach, integrating healthcare, education, and skill development to empower individuals with IDD, who may also have related disabilities such as autism, epilepsy, and cerebral palsy. Annually, JVF serves over 700 individuals at its campuses in Mumbai and rural branches in Deolali and Talegaon. Notably, over 70% of their students come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, and the foundation has a policy of not turning anyone away due to an inability to afford their services.

Senior Manager - CEO's Office
Location: Mumbai
Summary: This pivotal role involves driving strategic initiatives, managing partnerships, and overseeing key projects, reporting directly to the CEO. The Senior Manager will be a proactive and strategic leader capable of handling multiple priorities and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and foundations.

Head - Communications
Location: Mumbai
Summary: The Head of Communications will lead the implementation of the foundation's communications strategy, focusing on creating quality content to build brand recognition and engage with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a consistent internal and external communications strategy.
Devise and execute strategies to build the foundation's digital and media presence.
Lead the development of annual reports, award applications, campaigns, and other collaterals.
Work with internal teams to showcase interventions and support fundraising campaigns.
Required Qualifications & Experience: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 12-15 years of work experience in communication and branding. Manager - Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)

Summary: Reporting to the Head of MEL, this role supports the organization's efforts to measure, evaluate, and improve program impact through robust MEL frameworks and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate data collection processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Prepare high-quality MEL reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Document and share key learnings and best practices within the organization.

Lead - Healthcare

Summary: The Lead - Healthcare will support the implementation of JVF's Healthcare program, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to improve the holistic well-being of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PwIDs).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement healthcare policies, protocols, and best practices.
Introduce evidence-based assessments for personalized therapy and create individualized healthcare plans.
Oversee the delivery of services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and early intervention programs.
Train and mentor therapists, doctors, and social workers.

Manager - Disha Abhiyan

Summary: This role involves managing and scaling the 'Disha Abhiyan' program, a systemic change initiative to provide a uniform curriculum for students with IDD, in Maharashtra and other states.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with officials and stakeholders for effective program implementation.
Explore opportunities for scaling the program into new geographies.
Analyze program data to provide insights on key metrics.

Associate - Curriculum Development and Training
Location: Mumbai
Summary: This associate will support the curriculum and training team in planning, designing, and implementing curriculum strategies for students with intellectual disabilities (ages 3 to 18) and assist in the capacity building of Special Educators.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in creating and adapting educational materials.
Regularly update curriculum content based on feedback and classroom observations.
Support the team in ensuring the effective implementation of the curriculum in JVF Schools.
Collaborate on developing training modules for the upskilling of teachers.
Required Qualifications & Experience: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field is required. Special Educator
Location: Mumbai
Summary: The Special Educator will be responsible for creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and fostering a conducive learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
Create an IEP for each student according to their ability.
Plan daily activities based on the IEP.
Meet with parents to discuss their children's progress and educational needs.
Collaborate with therapists to ensure a child's therapy and educational activities are synchronized.

Senior Executive - IT

Summary: The Senior Executive IT will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of all technological and digital systems within the organization, including its three branches.
