Toolbox India Is Hiring: Junior Programs Operations Executive in Mumbai
If you're early in your career and want to learn how nonprofit programmes actually run, Toolbox India has an opening that could suit you. The organisation is hiring a Junior Programs Operations Executive in Mumbai, with a CTC of ₹5 LPA.
About the Role
This is a role for someone who likes variety. It sits across programme coordination, nonprofit outreach, volunteer engagement, documentation and programme communications. You won't be confined to one narrow function. You'll see how a programme comes together from several angles.
What You'll Be Doing
Finding and screening nonprofit partners: identifying and evaluating organisations the programme can work with.
Working with volunteers, facilitators and experts: coordinating the people who help deliver the programme.
Managing programme data, trackers and documents: keeping information organised and up to date.
Supporting meetings, events and programme delivery: helping sessions and activities run smoothly.
Supporting programme communication and social media: helping share the programme's work with a wider audience.
The full list of responsibilities is in the Job Description attached to the application form.
A Day in the Role
Toolbox India is a small team, so work moves quickly. A typical day might look like this:
Morning: coordinating with an NGO partner
Afternoon: preparing a project note
Before you log off: following up with volunteers
If you're comfortable switching between tasks like these, this role will suit you.
Who Should Apply
Toolbox India is looking for someone who:
Has 0–1 years of work experience
Can keep several workstreams moving at once
Is comfortable following up with different stakeholders
Writes clearly and structures information well
Picks up new tools, processes and contexts quickly
Notices what needs doing and takes it forward
The role is specifically open to Mumbai-based candidates, so make sure you're located there before applying.
What You'll Gain
Beyond the salary, the role offers exposure to:
Nonprofit partnerships
Programme operations
Volunteer engagement
Capacity-strengthening initiatives
Programme communications
Project management
For a fresher or early-career professional, this mix is valuable. It builds a base in the social sector and in operations, and the skills carry across many career paths.
How to Apply
Applications are through the online form, and the Job Description is attached there:
If you're organised, proactive and curious about how programmes are delivered on the ground, this could be a good first step into the nonprofit space. Share it with anyone in your network who might be a fit.
