Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana – The Centre for People's Forestry (CPF), a non-profit organization established in 2002, is dedicated to the advancement of tribal and rural communities. CPF is currently seeking a highly motivated Livelihoods Expert to join their team. Driving Impact at the Grassroots: Core Responsibilities
The Livelihoods Expert will play a vital role in the Dummugudem and Cherla Mandals of Bhadradri Kothagudem district. Key responsibilities include:
Project Design & Implementation: Providing technical assistance in preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for livelihoods at the Gram Panchayat and Block levels. This also involves ensuring accurate data entry into the SECURE portal (MGNREGA) and aligning projects with other government livelihood schemes.
Geospatial Integration: Collaborating with the State Project Management Unit (SPMU) GIS expert to maintain and develop comprehensive GIS mapping for all project areas.
Capacity Building Initiatives: Actively participating in strengthening the capabilities of local teams to effectively execute livelihood activities, including designing and conducting essential training and exposure visits.
Field-Level Support & Guidance: Offering consistent technical assistance and hands-on guidance to grassroots stakeholders, such as community members, Gram Panchayats, and frontline government workers, to ensure the successful implementation of livelihood interventions.
Agricultural Production Cluster (APC) Development: Leading the implementation and monitoring the progress of the APC model for sustainable agricultural development.
Nurturing Entrepreneurship: Taking an active role in fostering local entrepreneurship, thereby creating pathways for economic independence within communities.
Collaboration & Reporting: Working closely with Cluster Coordinators and Team Leaders to execute activities, maintain the MIS portal, and ensure effective convergence of livelihood schemes at the Block level. Regular reporting to the Block Coordinator and, when necessary, to the District Project Management Unit (DPMU).
Ideal Candidate Profile
CPF is seeking a committed individual with the following qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in disciplines such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Rural Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in livelihood development, with a strong preference for backgrounds in tribal or rural contexts.
Core Competencies: A solid understanding of agriculture, rural economics, and community mobilization is crucial.
Age Limit: Applicants should be a maximum of 40 years old.
Compensation and Application Process
The chosen candidate will receive a Cost to Company (CTC) of Rs. 3.6 Lakhs per annum, inclusive of Provident Fund (PF), Gratuity, and Health Insurance. This is a full-time, open-ended contract, with an anticipated start date as soon as possible, no later than August 1, 2025.
