AIACA Is Hiring a Manager – Communications & Research: Here's Everything You Need to Know

If you're a communications professional who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and social impact, the All India Artisans and Craftworkers Welfare Association (AIACA) has an opportunity worth your attention. The organisation is currently hiring a Manager – Communications & Research to join its team in New Delhi, and the role offers a chance to shape the voice of one of India's leading platforms for artisan welfare and the handmade sector.

About the Opportunity

AIACA works to strengthen the livelihoods of artisans and craftworkers across India, and it runs Craftmark, a well-recognised certification for authentic handmade products. As the organisation continues to grow its visibility and influence in the social development and livelihoods space, it is looking for someone who can bring together strategic communication, compelling storytelling, sharp research, and digital engagement — all in service of amplifying AIACA and Craftmark's impact.

This isn't a role for someone who just wants to write content. It's built for a communications professional who can think strategically, translate research into narratives that move people, and manage everything from media relations to on-ground events.

Role Overview

Position: Manager – Communications & Research Location: Greater Kailash 2 (G.K. 2), New Delhi Experience Required: 4–5 years Compensation: ₹45,000–₹50,000 per month Application Deadline: 23 September 2026

What the Role Involves

The Manager – Communications & Research will wear several hats, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and cross-functional collaboration. Core responsibilities include:

  • Driving communication strategy — leading campaigns, brand positioning, and overall visibility efforts for both AIACA and Craftmark

  • Creating content across formats — websites, social media, newsletters, blogs, reports, publications, and other communication collaterals

  • Managing media and PR — building relationships with journalists, securing press coverage, developing feature stories, and nurturing external partnerships

  • Supporting research output — contributing to research reports, policy briefs, concept notes, proposals, and knowledge documents

  • Turning research into stories — strengthening how sectoral insights and research findings are communicated and disseminated for advocacy purposes

  • Internal communications — developing materials that support coordination and information flow across teams

  • Event and stakeholder coordination — supporting exhibitions, workshops, public forums, and liaising with external agencies and vendors

In short, this role sits right at the point where research meets storytelling meets execution.

Who Should Apply

AIACA is looking for candidates who bring:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Communications, Mass Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline

  • 4–5 years of relevant experience, ideally within the social development or livelihoods sector

  • Strong writing and storytelling ability, digital communication know-how, and solid project coordination skills

If your background includes working with mission-driven organisations, NGOs, or social enterprises — and you're comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands-on content creation — this role could be a strong fit.

Why This Role Stands Out

Few communications roles offer this level of breadth. You're not just managing a content calendar; you're shaping how an organisation working directly with India's artisan communities is perceived by media, donors, partners, and the public. You'll also get exposure to research and policy work, giving you a foothold in advocacy communications — a skill set that's increasingly valuable across the development sector.

How to Apply

Interested candidates can send their CV to hr@aiacaonline.org before the application deadline of 23 September 2026.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you — or for someone in your network — don't wait until the last moment to apply. Roles that combine communications, research, and sector-level impact like this one don't come around often.
