Shaping Futures: Lend-A-Hand India Seeks HR Administration Manager to Bolster Mission in Pune

Pune, Maharashtra – Lend-A-Hand India (LAHI), a visionary non-profit with nearly two decades of dedication to integrating vocational training into mainstream education, is actively seeking a skilled Manager – HR Administration to fortify its operations in Pune. The deadline for applications is August 15, 2025.

For 19 years, LAHI has championed the cause of empowering young minds, ages 14-18, by seamlessly blending vocational education and invaluable internship opportunities into the secondary school curriculum. This vital initiative, often executed in collaboration with state governments under the Ministry of Education's 'Samagra Shiksha' scheme, is designed to bridge the "School to Work Transition" gap. LAHI's profound aim is to universally integrate vocational skills and, crucially, to reinstate the "dignity of labor" – a significant societal hurdle in India that often constrains youth potential. Their impact is far-reaching, currently benefiting over one million students across more than 10,000 high schools in 22 states and Union Territories nationwide.

The incoming Manager – HR Administration will play a cornerstone role in upholding the operational excellence of LAHI's human resources function. This comprehensive position demands a meticulous approach to the entire employee journey, from the initial stages of recruitment to the final moments of offboarding. Key responsibilities include the meticulous oversight of HR systems, precise management of employee records, efficient administration of benefits, and ensuring unwavering compliance with all organizational policies and statutory regulations. This individual will be pivotal in streamlining HR processes, optimizing efficiency, and cultivating an exceptional experience for every team member.

Core Contributions of the Role

The HR Administration Manager's mandate will encompass a spectrum of critical HR domains:

  • Employee Journey & Operational Stewardship: Directing smooth onboarding and offboarding procedures, maintaining exhaustive and accurate employee documentation (including attendance and leave records), and facilitating internal movements such as transfers and promotions. This role also involves managing the HR helpdesk, serving as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries.

  • Regulatory Adherence & Audit Readiness: Ensuring stringent compliance with all relevant statutory labor laws (e.g., PF, ESI, PT) and meticulously preparing for and navigating both internal and external HR audits, guaranteeing complete documentation integrity.

  • Compensation & Benefits Oversight: Collaborating closely with payroll teams to ensure precise and timely salary disbursements, administering various employee benefits, including insurance schemes, and efficiently processing employee claims for medical, travel, and other reimbursements.

  • HRIS Management & Data Intelligence: Maintaining the integrity, security, and accuracy of HRMS data, generating insightful HR reports (e.g., on attrition, headcount, and leave patterns) for strategic organizational review, and spearheading initiatives for HR process automation.

  • Policy Advocacy & Employee Relations: Upholding adherence to internal HR policies, conducting informative sessions for staff on policy updates, and adeptly addressing and resolving employee grievances in a timely and equitable manner.

  • Cultivating a Positive Workplace: Championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, orchestrating engaging team-building activities and recognition programs, and implementing initiatives that promote employee wellness and work-life harmony.

  • Strategic Liaison & Vendor Management: Serving as a key liaison with various HR vendors (e.g., for background verification, insurance) and fostering collaborative relationships with internal departments such as IT and Finance to ensure seamless cross-functional HR processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Lend-A-Hand India is seeking a professional with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related discipline. Prospective candidates should bring a robust background of at least 8 years in HR operations or administration, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in a managerial capacity.

Essential technical proficiencies include expertise in HRMS and payroll software, coupled with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, particularly in VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros. Beyond technical acumen, the successful applicant will distinguish themselves through exceptional soft skills and core competencies, including superior planning and multitasking capabilities, an unwavering attention to detail and a strong commitment to confidentiality, adept problem-solving abilities, excellent stakeholder management, crystal-clear communication, superior organizational skills with a strong sense of prioritization, and outstanding interpersonal "people" skills.
