Friends of Women's World Banking (FWWB) India has announced a new hiring opportunity for the position of Master Trainer, to be based in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The role will form part of the organization's Agriculture Capacity Building and Climate Change team, contributing to FWWB's ongoing work in strengthening rural livelihoods and farmer institutions.
About the Role
The Master Trainer will play a central role in field implementation, working closely with farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and local stakeholders. The position demands both technical expertise in agriculture and strong interpersonal skills for community engagement and capacity building.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of field and coordination activities, including:
Planning and designing fieldwork in consultation with the reporting officer, aligned with project objectives
Conducting research activities, diagnostic assessments, and business planning for FPOs and micro-enterprises
Mobilizing farmers and FPO members for awareness building
Strengthening farmer institutions — Farmer Interest Groups (FIGs) at the village level and FPOs/FPCs at the block level
Building capacity of farmers, Board of Directors, office bearers, and staff
Carrying out baseline surveys and data collection to understand the current state of target families
Building relationships with government bodies, ag-tech partners, and FPOs
Conducting training sessions on sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture practices
Participating in project review meetings and reporting on progress and challenges
Skills Required

Eligibility Criteria
Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in the development sector
Education: Postgraduate or Graduate degree, preferably with exposure to Agriculture or Rural Development
Travel: The role requires extensive travel within the project area for baseline studies, data collection, and capacity-building activities
Compensation and Joining
