Ashray Foundation is seeking a meticulous and skilled MIS (Management Information Systems) and Documentation Expert to play a vital role in our high-impact projects in Chamba Block, Himachal Pradesh. This role is not just about managing numbers; it's about translating project activities in the field—spanning Agriculture, Livelihoods, and Rural/Urban Development—into actionable insights and compliant, transparent records. The successful candidate will be the guardian of our project data, ensuring accuracy, security, and timely reporting for all stakeholders.

🎯 Key Responsibilities: The Pillars of the Role

As the MIS and Documentation Expert, you will be instrumental across six core areas:

  • Management Information Systems (MIS): You will be responsible for uploading project data to various portals, implementing and managing databases, and rigorously ensuring data integrity and security across all information systems.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Design efficient collection tools and procedures, then utilize your analytical skills to transform collected data into strategic insights that support informed decision-making. You will generate regular reports and accessible dashboards.

  • Comprehensive Documentation: Standardize and maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation of all project activities, developing templates for reports, case studies, and ensuring a highly organized and accessible system.

  • Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare detailed and timely reports on progress, achievements, and challenges for internal teams, funding bodies, partners, and regulatory authorities, guaranteeing accuracy and consistency.

  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards by ensuring all documentation and reporting strictly adhere to organizational protocols and donor requirements. This includes conducting regular data and documentation audits.

  • Training and Support: Build capacity within the project team by providing essential training and support on data management and reporting protocols, ensuring staff adherence to best practices.

🔍 Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical foundation and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience in data management, MIS, and documentation, ideally within a development or NGO setting.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in database management software, data analysis tools, and MS Office applications. Experience with data entry software is highly valued.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal). A commitment to accuracy and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the rural development sector and experience in training/capacity building are significant advantages.
