Udaan's mission is to empower 4,000 adolescent girls aged 10-19 from these communities by ensuring their access to higher education, essential healthcare services, and crucial skill development. The Role: MIS Officer – Bridging Data and Development
The MIS Officer will play a crucial role in the success of "Udaan – Phase 2" by expertly managing all data-related processes and information systems. This key position demands robust technical expertise in data handling, analysis, and visualization, alongside strong communication and documentation skills. The MIS Officer will provide critical support for project reporting, strategic planning, and continuous monitoring.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and implementing project-specific data collection and monitoring frameworks.
Regularly collecting, verifying, and updating program data with precision.
Analyzing data to generate timely and insightful reports for both internal stakeholders and donor accountability.
Developing dynamic dashboards for compelling data visualizations.
Managing digital platforms such as Kobo Toolbox, Survey CTO, and other data management tools.
Collaborating with field teams to ensure accurate and prompt data entry.
Conducting field visits to oversee data collection processes and confirm data integrity as needed.
Preparing compelling case studies, detailed documentation, and impactful presentations.
Ensuring strict adherence to data confidentiality and robust security protocols.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Jan Vikas Sansthan is seeking a graduate in any discipline, with a preference for backgrounds in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or related fields. The ideal candidate will possess:
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Advanced Excel (including pivot tables, lookup functions, and dashboard creation).
Practical experience with data collection tools such as Kobo Toolbox, Survey CTO, etc.
Comprehensive knowledge of data management, analysis, and visualization methodologies.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in both Hindi and English.
Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
A detail-oriented approach coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the development sector or a related field is preferred.
The compensation for this full-time role ranges from INR 2-2.5 LPA, with negotiation possible based on experience.
