Your Impact as a Palliative Care Doctor at SNEHA

As a Palliative Care Doctor with SNEHA, you will play an indispensable role in assessing patient conditions, effectively managing pain, and ensuring maximum comfort through carefully prescribed medication and expert guidance. A key part of your work will involve alleviating both physical and emotional distress, significantly enhancing the overall quality of life for your patients. Crucially, you will collaborate closely with patients' families, offering support, alleviating their anxieties, and providing vital information about the patient's condition and available treatment pathways.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient examinations and evaluations.

  • Attend OPDs at key locations including RPC, Cooper, Sion, and others as program needs dictate.

  • Implement effective symptom management strategies for referred patients.

  • Perform ward visits in OPD settings and visit community rehabilitation centers.

  • Respond to emergency calls and coordinate seamlessly with hospital residents.

  • Lead and facilitate trainings for various stakeholders as required.

  • Provide constructive feedback to referring doctors.

  • Collaborate closely with team members, offering guidance on patient cases.

  • Monitor daily data meticulously and scrutinize details of referral cases.

  • Conduct patient or caregiver consultations in home and medical environments.

Essential Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Educational Background: M.B.B.S / BDS / BAMS

  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of prior experience working within a hospital setting.

  • Work Location: MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region)

  • Key Trait: Demonstrated prior experience in palliative care is highly advantageous.

  • Behavioral Competencies: Exceptional patience and empathy, strong personal and interpersonal communication skills, proven team-working abilities, and unwavering sound values and work ethics.
