Your responsibilities will span the entire employee journey. From spearheading end-to-end recruitment and ensuring seamless new hire onboarding to nurturing existing talent through tailored training programs and facilitating comprehensive performance reviews, you'll be at the forefront. You'll serve as a trusted confidant for staff, offering an empathetic and solutions-focused approach that builds strong rapport and fosters open communication.
Key Contributions: Driving HR Excellence
The Human Resource Associate at Urja Trust will be central to:
Overseeing and proactively managing all daily HR functions.
Collaborating with leadership to cultivate and sustain a high-performance culture for a 35-person team.
Serving as a confidential and professional point of contact for staff concerns, maintaining composure and boundaries.
Promoting a positive work atmosphere through active listening, problem-solving, and timely HR interventions.
Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from identifying candidates to nurturing relationships with external recruitment partners.
Executing comprehensive induction and onboarding for all new team members.
Ensuring the punctual execution of performance reviews and appraisal cycles.
Implementing effective employee development and training initiatives.
Facilitating smooth and respectful exit management processes.
Maintaining meticulous employee records and documentation via an HRIS system.
Partnering with finance and accounts for accurate payroll processing and adherence to labor laws.
Developing and executing a yearly calendar of engaging employee initiatives.
Providing data-driven HR insights through careful analysis of employee information.
Handling essential administrative duties related to HR as needed.
Who We're Looking For: Your Profile
Urja Trust seeks a candidate with a strong academic foundation, practical experience, and a robust skill set:
Educational Background: A degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a closely related discipline is a must.
Experience: A minimum of two years of HR management experience within an organization of 20+ employees is required. Familiarity with HR processes specific to NGOs will be highly valued.
Essential Competencies & Skills:
Soft Skills: You should possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, thrive in a dynamic work environment, exhibit strong resilience and adaptability, and uphold an unwavering ethical and trustworthy approach to all HR practices.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR systems and current best practices, alongside outstanding people management, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities, are critical. You must be adept with MS Office applications and fluent in English and Hindi, with a practical understanding of Marathi.
