Role Overview: Driving Scholarship Excellence
The Scholarship Coordinator will be the backbone of NSF-India’s scholarship operations, focusing on execution, data management, and seamless coordination. Reporting directly to the Senior Program Manager – Scholarships, the successful candidate will ensure that scholarship cycles are managed with accuracy, transparency, and timeliness across various states.
Key Responsibilities and Impact
The role involves a blend of administrative precision and stakeholder engagement:
Operational Management: Assisting in the entire scholarship lifecycle, including tracking applications, coordinating interviews, and supporting the disbursement process.
Data Stewardship: Maintaining meticulous records of student and institutional data using MS Excel or Google Sheets, and assisting in data compilation for audits and donor reports.
Stakeholder Communication: Acting as a liaison between NSF Chapter Coordinators, Institutional Nodal Officers, and internal teams.
Documentation: Drafting routine correspondence, preparing presentations, and contributing content for newsletters and case studies.
Qualifications and Core Competencies
NSF is looking for candidates who combine academic background with practical experience in the nonprofit sector.
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Education, Management, or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years in program coordination, education projects, or scholarship management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets is essential, alongside strong written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi or Telugu is a plus).
