To address this gap, the Centre for Youth Development and Activities (CYDA) has announced an open position for a Program Executive – WASH in Schools, based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). About the Role
The Program Executive will play a central role in driving CYDA's WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) initiatives across schools in the region. The position calls for a hands-on professional who can bridge the gap between field implementation and program management, ensuring that WASH infrastructure and behaviour change efforts translate into real, lasting impact for students and communities.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to:
Coordinate and manage WASH in Schools projects from planning through execution
Oversee field-level implementation, monitoring, and day-to-day supervision
Support the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of WASH infrastructure to ensure long-term sustainability
Conduct Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) sessions to promote hygiene practices among students
Collaborate closely with schools, local communities, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders
Manage monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and documentation (MERD) for project activities
Support capacity-building initiatives and training sessions for teachers and community members
Ensure quality control, compliance, and effective budget management throughout the project lifecycle
Who Should Apply — Eligibility Criteria
CYDA is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree, along with an MSW (Master of Social Work) or a related field
A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in WASH project coordination or a similar development role
A strong understanding of water, sanitation, hygiene, and community engagement principles
Prior experience working with entrepreneurs or community-based groups is an added advantage
Good skills in data management, reporting, and communication
