The Coalition of Food Systems Transformation in India (CoFTI) is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to join their team in New Delhi as a Program Officer (Administration, MIS & Accounting).

CoFTI, an initiative born out of the UN Food Systems Summit, is at the forefront of driving systemic change across India's food sector. Coordinated by WASSAN, the coalition manages seven crucial action labs focused on areas like Diets & Consumption, Agroecology, Food Business, Food Loss and Waste, and Policy. By engaging with policymakers, civil society, networks, the private sector, and academia, CoFTI is actively shaping the future of food in the country.

The Role: Administration, Coordination, and Reporting

This is a full-time administrative and office coordination position based in Safdurjung, New Delhi. The successful candidate will be the backbone of the New Delhi office, ensuring smooth operations across various functions and reporting directly to the Program Officer - Finance.

The core responsibilities are comprehensive, focusing on three key areas:

1. Administration & Office Management

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the office. This includes:

  • Front desk management and general administrative support.

  • Procurement of office supplies, including collecting quotations and maintaining vendor registers.

  • Stock management and maintenance of stock registers for all office assets and supplies.

  • Overseeing the maintenance of the office building, equipment, and guest rooms.

  • Handling the DAK (Letter Register) for all incoming and outgoing correspondence.

2. Reporting & Financial Support

This role demands strong coordination skills with the Head Office (HO) in Hyderabad. Key tasks include:

  • Timely submission of monthly expenditure statements and monthly progress reports.

  • Verifying and submitting original bills, including staff TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) expenses.

  • Supporting financial compliance, including the submission of the quarterly action plan and fund requisition.

  • Updating information in the CoFTI Data portal and assisting in coordinating the annual internal and external audits.

3. Logistics & Event Coordination

You will be the primary coordinator for all office travel and workshop logistics, requiring excellent organizational foresight:

  • Coordinating all logistics and travel for workshops, meetings, and events under COFTI/RRA.

  • Making travel arrangements for staff, visitors, and guests (booking flights, hotels, and transportation).

  • Scheduling and preparing meeting rooms, including arranging audio-visual equipment and refreshments.

  • Coordinating office vehicles for staff travel.

Candidate Profile and Compensation

CoFTI is seeking a candidate with strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

  • Any Graduate or Postgraduate degree.

  • Fresher or 0-2 years of proven experience in administrative or office support.

  • Mandatory proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel).

  • Possession of a two-wheeler is required for local travel.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, along with a non-negotiable flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements.

The role is a one-year contract, subject to a two-month initial probation period and further extension based on performance and project continuity. The salary offered is competitive within the sector, in the range of Rs 35,000 – Rs 40,000 per month, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience, excluding TA/DA.
