YouthAid Foundation (YAF) is looking for a dynamic and dedicated professional to join their team as a Program Officer – Entrepreneurship & Skilling. This is a high-impact role based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, designed for individuals who want to lead change at the community level.
Role Overview: Program Officer (Entrepreneurship & Skilling)
The Program Officer will be at the forefront of YAF’s mission to ignite grassroots potential. This position involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of entrepreneurship and skilling initiatives, from initial community mobilization to long-term livelihood linkages.
Location: Ranchi, Jharkhand (covering Ranchi and nearby districts)
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
The successful candidate will be responsible for scaling impactful programs that empower local communities. Key duties include:
Program Leadership: Planning and implementing Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP) and skilling initiatives.
Field Operations: Conducting baseline assessments, community mobilization, and identifying beneficiaries.
Stakeholder Management: Building and managing strategic partnerships with CSR stakeholders, government departments, and institutional partners.
Impact Documentation: Ensuring rigorous program monitoring, reporting, and the creation of compelling case studies and impact stories.
Representation: Acting as the face of YAF at district, state, and national forums.
The primary goals for this role include successful beneficiary mobilization, the creation of new enterprises or job placements, and the strengthening of the local economic ecosystem through robust institutional linkages.
Eligibility Criteria
YouthAid Foundation is looking for candidates who combine academic excellence with practical field experience:
Education: A Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience, specifically within entrepreneurship development or skilling programs.
Grassroots Expertise: Prior experience working directly on community-based projects is highly preferred.
Technical Skills & Competencies
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
A deep understanding of entrepreneurship and skilling ecosystems.
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and MIS reporting.
Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English.
Knowledge of local languages or dialects of Jharkhand (considered a significant advantage).
Proven ability in end-to-end program implementation and stakeholder management.
