The role suits early-career professionals who want to combine data, field engagement and programme management in the development sector.

About the Role

The Programme Coordinator will be based at the Noida head office and will report to the Programme Manager. Sashakt’s tagline for the role, “Data, People, Impact,” reflects how closely programme delivery and data work are tied together here.

What You Will Do

The role covers both programme implementation and monitoring and evaluation (M&E). Key responsibilities include:

  • Programme coordination: Managing day-to-day implementation and making sure activities stay aligned with project targets, timelines and deliverables.

  • MIS and data management: Maintaining and regularly updating the project MIS, dashboards, trackers and databases.

  • Data collection and quality: Collecting, consolidating and reviewing data from field teams for accuracy, completeness and timely submission. This includes regular data quality checks, spotting discrepancies and coordinating corrections until they are closed.

  • Monitoring performance: Tracking project indicators, KPIs, beneficiary coverage and activity progress against the project plan.

  • M&E systems: Developing and maintaining M&E tools, monitoring formats and reporting systems.

  • Research and assessment support: Supporting baseline surveys, beneficiary profiling, assessments, focus group discussions (FGDs) and other data-collection exercises.

  • Field monitoring: Conducting or supporting field visits to verify activities, and documenting findings, gaps and follow-up actions.

  • Reporting: Preparing daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, MIS summaries and management updates.

  • Field coordination: Working with field teams to ensure timely submission of session reports, attendance records, photographs and supporting documents.

  • Other duties: Taking on any other programme, MIS or M&E responsibilities assigned by the organisation.

Who Should Apply

Sashakt Foundation has outlined the following preferred profile:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management or a related field.

  • Experience: One to two years in the NGO or development sector, preferably in MIS, M&E, programme coordination or reporting.

  • Technical understanding: A good grasp of MIS, M&E, data validation, KPI tracking and programme reporting, along with strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Soft skills: Good analytical, documentation and communication skills.

  • Work style: Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and data requirements at once.

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel to project locations when required.

Salary

The position offers ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should email their latest CV and a cover letter to Ishita@sashakt.org.in, using the subject line “Programme Coordinator – Sashakt Foundation.” No closing date is mentioned in the announcement, so applying early is advisable.

Why This Role Is Worth a Look

This position is a good entry point for people who enjoy working with data but also want to see its impact on the ground. It combines MIS, dashboards and reporting with field visits and community-level programmes. For anyone building a career in M&E or programme management, that mix of desk and field work is valuable experience.

Applicants should note that the role asks for travel and covers a wide range of tasks, from data quality checks to coordinating with field teams. Candidates who are organised, detail-oriented and comfortable switching between spreadsheets and site visits are likely to be a strong fit.
