Partnering Hope Into Action (PHIA) Foundation, a certified "Great Place to Work" from May 2025 to May 2026, is seeking a Project Coordinator for the GP Help Desk & Social Security program in Ranchi, Jharkhand. This role, with a salary of 6.60 Lakhs per annum, is focused on strengthening local governance and improving access to welfare rights for disadvantaged communities. Role and Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator will be based in PHIA's Ranchi state office and will provide technical support for key project components across three development blocks in Jharkhand. The position requires the candidate to lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of Gram Panchayat (GP) Help Desks. Key responsibilities also include:
Developing and institutionalizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the GP Help Desks, ensuring they align with the Government of Jharkhand's policies.
Planning and conducting training and capacity-building sessions for GP staff, project implementation teams, and community leaders.
Facilitating improved access to social security entitlements and welfare schemes for marginalized communities.
Conducting regular field visits to project blocks (6-8 days per month) to monitor progress and support on-ground implementation.
Creating knowledge products like training modules, operational guidelines, and SOPs to standardize practices across project areas.
Engaging with government departments to promote convergence and policy coherence.
Ideal Candidate
PHIA Foundation is looking for a candidate with a Post Graduate Degree in Social Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. The ideal applicant should have at least five years of hands-on experience working with Panchayati Raj Institutions, supporting GPDP planning, and facilitating access to key welfare schemes such as MGNREGA, pensions, and PDS. Strong facilitation skills and previous experience in establishing GP-level help desks are also essential for this role.
