Open Positions and Required Qualifications
The
Project Coordinator position requires a minimum of five years of experience in governance-related work, specifically with Gram Sabha. The ideal candidate should be able to work with tribal communities by leveraging their cultural values, traditions, and sustainable livelihood practices.
The
Block Coordinator role requires at least three years of experience in governance-related work, also with a focus on Gram Sabha and vulnerable tribal communities. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working on governance.
For both positions, candidates should have a degree in MSW, MARD, MBA, Development Studies, or a relevant field. Other common qualifications include being proactive, optimistic, and possessing strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Hindi and English is a must, while knowledge of tribal languages like Pahariya or Santhali would be an added advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected candidates will take on key responsibilities that include:
Program Implementation & Coordination: This involves overseeing development programs, working with government officials, NGOs, and community members, and organizing meetings and training sessions.
Community Engagement & Mobilization: A major part of the job is working directly with the Paharia community to understand and address their needs. This includes promoting community participation and raising awareness on important issues like health, education, and welfare.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting: The roles require tracking project progress, evaluating the impact of programs, preparing reports, and identifying challenges to recommend improvements.
Capacity Building: This responsibility involves training local volunteers and staff, as well as conducting skill-enhancing sessions for community members.
Data & Resource Management: Candidates will be responsible for collecting accurate data, documenting best practices, and efficiently managing and distributing resources.
