Eligibility Criteria
CCDT is looking for dedicated professionals who possess the right blend of educational qualifications and field experience to handle complex child welfare cases.
Educational Qualification: A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), Psychology, Counselling, or a closely related field.
Experience Required: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in fields such as HIV/AIDS support, child protection, counseling, or working directly within Child Care Institutions.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator cum Counsellor will balance administrative management with therapeutic care. Key responsibilities include:
1. Operational & Team Coordination
Overseeing and supervising the overall day-to-day activities and functioning of the Child Care Institute.
Managing the internal team, planning staff duties, and preparing monthly work plans, reports, and comprehensive project documentation.
Monitoring project implementation to ensure all organizational objectives are successfully met.
2. Psychosocial Support & Mental Health Care
Providing individual and group counseling sessions, psychological assessments, and emotional support to children, particularly those living with HIV or dealing with crises.
Conducting life skills, resilience-building, and mental health promotion sessions.
Helping children navigate and cope with trauma, stigma, grief, anxiety, and other emotional challenges.
Creating and updating Individual Care Plans (ICPs) and child case files.
3. Liaison & Regulatory Compliance
Ensuring the institute strictly complies with the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act and standard Child Care Institution regulations.
Coordinating closely with government stakeholders and statutory bodies, including the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), and the Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD).
Working in tandem with ART Centres, ICTCs, hospitals, DAPCU, and healthcare providers to monitor medical appointments, routine check-ups, and ART adherence.
Facilitating access to crucial government schemes and entitlements for the children.
