Position Overview: Shaping Health and Hygiene Outcomes 💧
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating WASH projects. This includes overseeing initiatives in schools, slums, and community settings. A key aspect of the role involves team leadership, coordination with government departments, partners, and community stakeholders, ensuring the timely and quality delivery of projects aligned with CYDA's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities: Driving WASH Initiatives from Concept to Completion 🛠️
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including:
Leading the implementation of WASH projects in diverse intervention areas.
Developing detailed work plans, budgets, and monitoring frameworks.
Coordinating with key government departments (Education, Urban Local Bodies, Tribal Development, etc.) and corporate donors.
Supervising field staff and community facilitators to ensure high-quality implementation.
Ensuring effective IEC/BCC campaigns and community mobilization activities.
Conducting capacity-building workshops for staff, youth, and frontline workers.
Monitoring project activities, documenting success stories, and preparing progress reports.
Supporting proposal writing, donor presentations, and strategic planning processes.
Ensuring compliance with CYDA and donor policies.
Qualifications and Experience: A Blend of Expertise and Passion 🎓
CYDA is seeking candidates with a strong academic background and relevant experience. Applicants should possess a Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Public Health, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in WASH or community development projects, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, is essential. Experience in managing donor-funded projects (CSR/Govt) is highly preferred, along with a strong knowledge of participatory approaches, school WASH, MHM, and behavior change strategies.
Skills and Competencies: The Right Fit for Success ✨
Beyond qualifications, CYDA values individuals with excellent project planning, coordination, and team management skills. Strong communication (written and verbal) in English, Marathi, and Hindi is crucial. Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and digital reporting tools is also required. The ability to travel to other project locations as needed is a must.
